What to Expect with Dental Care
Grant Thornton offers a dental plan administered by MetLife. The Preferred Dentists Program offers a choice of two benefit levels: in-network and out-of-network.
For 2025, we are enhancing your dental plan to include covering out-of-network preventive services at 100% of R&C fee*** to further encourage you and your family to get your semi-annual check-ups and cleanings. When contacting your dentist’s office to make an appointment, be sure to ask if your dentist participates in the MetLife Preferred Dentists Program Plus (PDP Plus) to maximize your benefits.
The level of the benefit and your out-of-pocket costs will vary depending on whether or not your dentist participates in the MetLife network. Participation in this benefit is voluntary and may be purchased as a stand-alone benefit, whether or not you elect medical coverage.

**PDP Plus Fee refers to the fees that participating Preferred Dentists Program Plus dentists have agreed to accept as payment in full, subject to any co-pays, deductibles, coinsurance, and benefit maximums.
***R&C Fee refers to the Reasonable and Customary charge, which is based on the lowest of (i) the dentist’s actual charge, (ii) the dentist’s usual charge for the same or similar services, or (iii) the charge of most dentists in the same geographic area for the same or similar services as determined by MetLife.
